“NO ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING” - ANNE FRANK

  • Shoveling Sunshine is a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit that was founded by ShineGroup to advocate and enrich human lives during economic hardships by shoveling unlimited amounts of SHINE their way.

    SHINE = S-support H-help I-improve N-nourish E-enrich

    We aim to foster a passion for resilience, stability and hope in our community by empowering and supporting individuals and providing business, financial and housing resources while supporting causes that are significant to ShineGroup team members.

    10% of all net ShineGroup commissions are donated to Shoveling Sunshine.

  • Once upon a time there was a girl who asked her boyfriend to build her a shelf. This was the start of the Little Free Pantry in the heart of Bahama Village.

    What started during covid as an act of kindness took on a life of its own now with its own fundraisers and volunteer caretakers.

    The top requested items are:

    ✨Hormel Compleat Meals

    ✨Tuna Fish/ Chicken Salad

    ✨Grab & Go granola or breakfast bars

    ✨Soups/ Chef Boyardee

    ✨Pop Top Cans

    ✨Cup O’Noodles / Ramen

    ✨H2O & Drinks - it’s hot out there!

    ProTip: Look for items that will make your dollar go a little further… think BOGO’s, 10 for $10’s, etc.

    This is a great way to get involved in the community on your own time (and also a great way to introduce little ones to service).

    Don’t have time to shop but want to contribute? Shoot me a venmo (@Krystal-Thomas-1) with BVLP in the description and I’ll fly if you buy.

    In the words of Anne Frank, “No one ever became poor by giving.”
