About Krystal Thomas…

Krystal has over 19 years of experience in Real Estate including 12 years of Key West real estate and vacation rental market experience.  Krystal became a licensed real estate agent in 2014 has sold over $100 million in residential real estate, leased and managed commercial property as well a 65 slip liveaboard community. 

Service, mentorship, and connecting others is a passion of Krystal’s and in 2023 she founded Shine Group to collaborate and empower other agents in the real estate industry while setting a new standard for the ultimate client experience.

Born in Baltimore and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland Krystal knew from age 7 that she wanted to make Key West her home.   She started by spending her college summers in the southernmost city and upon graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Finance and Real Estate and she spent a “final” summer in Key West before accepting a job with a commercial real estate research company in her home state of Maryland. There she worked as a research associate and a research manager overseeing 10+ employees; ultimately, she realized that winter (or temperatures that don’t start with a seven or higher) was not for her.  In 2011 she boomeranged back to Key West and began working for a vacation rental company as a property manager which brought her back to the residential side of real estate. 

Krystal is married to her husband Ed and lives in Key West with her three huskies Misha, Dolly & Zoe.  She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, Florida Association of Realtors, Key West Association of Realtors, Membership Chair for The Rotary Club of Key West, creator of Bahama Village Little Pantry, a mentor with Take Stock in Children of Monroe County and volunteer with Cooking With Love.
