Word Of The Year 2024
Sometimes the word just jumps out to me and other times it requires a little more thought. 2024 was one of those years that required a little more thought. After doing some research and looking at past words of people I admire (and some I had never even heard of) there was one word that stuck out to me; one word that I kept coming back to.
B L O O M ✨
5 Reasons I chose the word BLOOM for 2024:
To bloom is to mature into achievement of ones potential to flourish in beauty, freshness, and excellence. To become fully expressed. And that is exactly what I intend to do this year; to step into this next chapter with freshness & excellence.
Sometimes you have to cut off dead leaves to grow stronger. A reminder that it’s ok to say no to things and people that no longer serve me and my vision.
For a plant to bloom it needs to be taken care of; a reminder to prioritize my physical & mental health and know that you need different things during different seasons.
Nothing in nature blooms all year. A reminder to give grace to myself and remember this year will have periods of no growth or change and that is ok. Be present in the moment.
There is no competing with flowers. They just bloom. A reminder there is no need to compare my life and growth with others.
